Volunteering with Weaver Fire Department
Becoming a volunteer firefighter or EMT/Medic is a one of the best ways to support Weaver. Being a volunteer firefighter is a rewarding way to help others in the community and to meet a lot of people. At the Weaver Fire Department, we work with each of our volunteers to achieve the goals they want to achieve. Goals such as to provide a community service after retirement, to learn how to safely protect the city, and even building a camaraderie with other volunteers and support staff. Working as a volunteer firefighter is a rewarding way to help the city you love.
In response to your dedication to helping the residents and businesses of Weaver we will work hard to ensure your training will make you more than effective for any type of call that we may respond to. Although we appreciate anyone that has completed a fire academy, it is not a requirement to become one of us. Our volunteers not only respond to emergencies within the community, we also maintain the departments equipment and resources that enable us to quickly provide emergency services. It is imperative that each of our rescue vehicles are properly inventoried and stocked for the next call out.
If you feel like you want to serve your community, please contact Chief Bunn at (256) 820-0530 to start the volunteer process.
