Civil Service Board and Employment Opportunities

All full-time City of Weaver employees are civil service employees under the Weaver Civil Service Board.

Job openings are listed below under Employment Opportunities.  When there is a vacancy, applications will be available at the Weaver Police Department with instructions to return the application.  The Civil Service Board will conduct a test for the position, a list will be established, and an applicant will be chosen from the list.

Public Notice is hereby given by the Weaver Civil Service Board that an examination will be given for the following position:

POLICE DISPATCHER

The position is responsible for answering emergency and non-emergency calls and relaying to responding units, knowing the location and status of responding units, and maintaining reports, records, and forms.

Pay Range: $29,619 – $44,824

Applications are available at the Weaver Police Department located at 500 Anniston Street, and they must be returned to the police department or emailed to kchaka@weaveral.gov by Thursday, August 8, 2024.  The written civil service exam will be given at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024, at the Weaver Meeting Center located at 406 Anniston Street.
