Welcome from the Mayor
About Jeff Clendenning
I was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, to a Navy family and was raised in Plainfield, Wisconsin. After graduating from Tri-County High School, I attended UW Whitewater and then joined the Army in 1987. I served 8 and 1/2 years, serving the majority of my time at Fort McClellan, Alabama. While in the Army, I received an associate degree from Gadsden State Community College. In 1988, I married my wife, Reva, a Wellborn girl. We have two sons, Dawson and Landon, and we have lived in Weaver since 1993. I have worked in the Calhoun County Engineer Department since 1994 and currently serve as the County Surveyor, Project Manager. It has been my honor and privilege to serve the City of Weaver on the city council as a council member and/or mayor pro-tem since November 2008. We have come a long way in the past few years, and I am excited to see what is still in front of us!
